Ivor's Visit to Singapore - 22 July 2008

It's been awhile since I last saw my buddy, Ivor! The last time I saw him was about a couple of years back when I was back in Auckland. Can't believe how much I've missed his company.

Ivor was my best buddy when I first started work in the School of Engineering, University of Auckland in year 2000. I missed all the coffee breaks we had at the coffee stand in campus. He's been a great friend since then. I think he is the one person who could put up with my crap during my time there. He would rescue me from the weirdest people I see at work, and will just drag me out for coffee. What an excellent guy!

I was so happy when he told me he was going to swing by Singapore for a couple of days in July. And here he is... I took today (22 July 2008) off and spent a whole day doing touristy stuff with him. It was sooooo FUN! 

We went to Funan Centre to look for some techy stuff, had lunch at a Thai restuarant. Then we headed off to Suntec City to book our Duck Tour, after that we went on to the Singapore Flyer. Since Ivor wanted to try some local food, I took him to Old Airport Road Hawker Centre for dinner. We had crocodile meat, stingray and fried oyster omelette, and Soursop juice. He really enjoyed it. 

I have to say, I'm gonna miss him when he goes back to Auckland tomorrow. IVOR, you have to come visit me more often!!! heh heh!
