23rd February 2007 - What a Blast!!

Besides the fact that I had to work on 23rd Feb 2007, Friday (ONE FULL DAY)... I was anticipating and looking forward to the evening of 23rd Feb!

That morning when i woke up, I was draggin myself out of bed cos' I wanted the evening to come sooner by lying in bed (sounds stupid huh?!) hehehe! Anyways, that day, I had to go out to site for monitoring and I thought I could end by early afternoon, and go back to office to clear other stuff.... BUT NOOOOO!! I was so wrong! I was stuck at site till 5.20pm. Rushed back to office through the rush hour traffic (very frustrating), and only to find 2 of my friends waiting for me at my office lobby already!

So went straight up to my office, just to shut down my laptop, drop off all my work stuff and go home...

Then it was PARTY TIME!!! Woohoo!! It was really worth waiting for... heh heh heh!

All my bestest friends came over to my place to celebrate Chinese New Year! Let's see who came:

We had so much food!!! Timothy brought "lou hei" stuff (with added fish which my parents bought), Cindy & Adrian brought yummy chicken wings and otah, Benton & celven brought "Timeout" chocolates, Shireen brought "tim sum" such as siumai, charsiew buns and lots more, Geena brought Egg tarts, my parents got 100 sticks of satay, more charsiew buns, fried taro (wukok), fried tofu skin spring rolls... Everyone was happy!! Hahaha! Which was good!!

Then when it was lou hei time, we gave the honour to Timothy to say all the nice words when preparing the stuff on the plate... all 15 of us did the LOU HEI! We made a mess on the table but it was fun and all good!

Then we played mahjong till 1am!! Heh heh! So fun!

Sadly, we had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures!! DOH! Stupid right!!! Grrrrr... so mad with myself for forgetting about taking pics... but I know I will always remember that day!

Thanks my dearest friends!! I really had a great time that night... we should do that again sometime soon!! RIGHT?????

My second blog...

Out of the blue, I've decided to start another blog which I am hoping to make it more educational!!

I guess there are many people out there who doesn't know much about Clinical Research. I mean that's mainly what I'm involved in, in my job. So when someone asks me what do i do... I have a hard time explaining cos' most of the time when they hear the 2 words "Clinical Research", they will automatically relate it to Laboratory work!!

Well, Clinical Research in my field does not involve laboratory work at all!

Old Car, New Car, New Hairdo, New Hair colour....

I know that these pictures should've been posted last week but I've been so busy... So here are the pics...

Firstly, my new car finally arrived on Feb 2nd 2007... Here are the pics of my old car (Toyota Corolla, 1.5L. Silver bought in Nov 2001) and my new car (Honda Civic, 1.8L, Silver, bought in Dec 2006 but only arrived on Feb 2007).

Since December 2006 till now, I've had many changes to the way I look, well, mainly my hairstyle. I've actually had 4 different short hair looks within 2 months, and 3 different hair colours.

Happy Lunar New Year!!

Can't believe it's going to be Chinese New Year tomorrow! Another year just went by like that... I can still remember last year's reunion dinner with my family, still crisp in my mind...

My family's pretty small... only my Granny, my parents and myself... so last year, we had steamboat. Dad was smart enough not to prepare too many dishes cos' it's only 4 of us... In previous year's Reunion Dinner, we tend not to finish all the food cos' my dad will over-prepare hahah!!

This year's slightly different, cos' we have a new addition to my family... he's none other but my HUBBY!! :o) We had to have our Reunion Dinner a night earlier (eve of Chinese New Year's Eve) cos' we have another Reunion dinner on New Year's Eve with his family... Anyways, think my dad was being abit over-ambitious this time round... Cos' he OVER-PREPARED!!! We had so much food!!

We had our usual steamboat and here's the list of dishes we had:

ISN'T THAT ALOT???? Since it was steamboat, we took our time to eat!! heheh! But still we coudn't finish all the food!!

After dinner, I went off to KTV to meet all my good buddies for 4hours of non-stop singing at Party World KTV!! SO FUN!! We had such a great time! I love you my dear friends... it's always so fun to hang out with you guys.... Damn! I'm losing my voice again ahhaha!!!

So many things happened within a few days...

I'm so sorry that I've not been updating my blog lately... Think this new job has been sucking my energy... I've not made my accessories for a long time, i've not been blogging for a long time, i've not been able to meet up with my friends as often as I want... WHAT"S HAPPENING!!!!

Well, seriously, I've been really working alot, knocking off late and so on.. shan't bore you with my work details! other than that, life's been good still!!

So many things happened this week... shall start with Monday...

Ok on Monday, I sent a cheque out to settle my loan for my old car... Tuesday, i started feeling abit unwell... Wednesday, went to work as usual despite feeling unwell, and GUESS WHAT?? I went to collect my new HONDA CIVIC in the evening... After that, I was really ill!! Couldn't get up on Thursday to go to work... so had to call in sick! Slept till 12.30pm, had lunch, took medication (thanks to my good friend who made a housecall just cos' i couldn't drive out to see him... Then at about 2pm, i knocked out again till 7pm. Woke up to have dinner, took meds again, knocked out at 10.30pm. And Guess what? I feel completely well today... asked my friend what he gave me that is so miraculous?? He said he gave me high dosage medication! WOAH! Thanks to that, I'm able to go to work today with 100% concentration at work... then off I went for another haircut in the evening after work, and met up with some good friends for coffee...

Yeah you must be wondering "WHAT??? Another haircut!?" Well, if you've read my previous post, MY HAIR GROWS REALLY FAST!! This time round, my stylist has gone even shorter for me... now I've got spikes! Yikes! But it's all cool! COS" I LOVE IT!! heheh! Then again, I told him, this will be the last time he's cutting my hair this short, cos' i wanna grow it again... hahah! Yep I do miss my long tresses!!
