Wedding Wedding Wedding!

I can't believe it's only another 3.5 months before I walk down the aisle of "Our Lady of Perpetual Succour" church in Siglap!

Feelings of anticipation, nervousness, excitement, being worried, fear, happiness, sadness, and much more, are all mixed together... Obviously, I do want to get married but the wedding preparations and process is horrid! I wish it can be more fun! Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it isn't!

Let's move on to a happier mode eh, enough of these stupid mixed feelings that I have right now...

First of all, I would like to thank my dearest cousin, Conroy Sng (remember him in one of my entries "Roy Sng"). He has cancelled his trip to London for his hairdressing advancement just for my wedding! Isn't he the sweetest cousin (I treat him like my little brother) anyone would like to have? I am very touched by him. Roy, Thank you so much! *Teary eyed*

Roy will be my backup hairdresser on my wedding day. He will be bringing his gear that day. In case anything happens to my hair, he is ever ready to fix it! Isn't he the best?!

I have finally confirmed who my 2 lovely bride's maids are going to be... And they are my cousin, Angel, and my good friend, Maybeline (a.k.a Meimei). Thank you gals for agreeing to be my bride's maids. I really really appreciate it!

And how can I forget my cute flower girl, Freida (my best friend's daughter)... She is just so cute and adorable!

I would like to thank all my other friends, Timothy, Cindy, Pauleen, as well as Maybeline, who have been supporting me and keeping me sane. They have been giving me advice and helping me to get through the next few months. They are a real amazing lot! I know you all have seen me cry, listening to me when I'm stressed and frustratated, and ensuring me that everything is going to be ok... Without you guys, I don't think I can survive this wedding preparation alone!

What a SHOPAHOLIC!!

It's Great Singapore Sale, so how can anyone resist shopping during this season?!

My friends and I have been shopping like crazy, especially Mango sale has just started. I went to the private sale (for member's only) yesterday. Basically, the only perk for member's is that you get to view the sale stuff first before it's open to the public! Silly as it may be, it was still so crowded! Anyway, I spent almost $500 in just 2 days! Bloody ridiculous!

Tomorrow, I am heading to Gucci and LV after work. Gucci is having a sale now... Went on Sunday, but didn't see the bag that I've been eyeing at (Grrrr), instead got a belt! Love it! To think that I just bought a belt 2 weeks before that from ETRO! hahaha! I have a few things I wanna get from LV, so will check it out tomorrow. Can't wait! Been popping into LV quite often lately, but it's always so crowded that I can't be bothered to get anything. I hate crowds and queues!

Sometimes I really can't differentiate between needs and wants... I guess there are many material things that I don't need but want... that explains me over-spending! haha! Lucky that my fiance understands my shopaholicism (if there's such a word), so he doesn't really stop me nor tell me off for spending too much. Come to think of it, he did not get me any bags this year... hmmm... Bad boy!! heheh! Kidding darling!

Oh well, there's really nothing much to do in Singapore but shop!! Good excuse eh?! :p

List of shops I want to go:

1. LV
2. Gucci
3. Christian Dior
4. Loewe
5. Anya Hindmarch (so sad I missed the rabbit range)
6. YSL
7. ZARA (sale coming soon)
8. Tods

Oh man! The list can go on forever... better stop!

Chains...

What did I manage to make this weekend?? I made 2 really nice necklaces for myself, BUT if anyone wants similar necklaces, please let me know and I will make them for you :o)

"Blue Pepples"
Made up of a chain with large and small rings, with marble blue flat beads hanging off the chain. When I saw these marble blue flat beads in the shop, I just had to buy them. I really love the marbly blue... do you like them too??

__________________________________________________________________________________

"Chains of Purple"
Deep purple pearls hanging off tiny oval chains... I was inspired to make this necklace when I was watching a Korean drama called "Princess Lulu"... The actress wasn't wearing one that looks exactly like the one I made, but it inspired me to make this chain... It has 3 chains connected to 2 big pearls at the side (sits on collar-bone). This chain will look good with shirts, singlets or tubes...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anyone likes my creations, please order from me... :o) THANK YOU!

Happy Happy Happy!

Not knowing whether someone will like the things you give, can be quite painful at times. Not knowing whether someone will like the things you make, is even more frustrating!

Why do I say that? I mean, imagine when you have put your heart and mind into creating something for people, and if they don't comment on it, you will never ever know whether that person likes the thing you have just given. That is why I prefer people who are honest to tell me the truth, in this way, I can improve and make something that will suit a particular person.

Why am I HAPPY?? Cos' so far, the gals who have bought my necklaces and bracelets, like them very much. They have gotten feedbacks from their friends too, and their comments were all positive. This makes me feel really good in many many ways. Even if I don't make much profit from the stuff I sell, I still feel good because I feel much happier when they really appreciate and genuinely like my creations.

My friend really liked the Black Elegance Bracelet and Choker (sorry no pics for these), and they are exactly what she wanted.

As for the Gold Glitters and Green Glitters range, my customers all like them very much. Their friends like it too, so I'm crossing my fingers to have more orders in... :o) I have another order for "Jet Black" from my workmate. Woohoo! I just hope orders will keep rolling in...

For now, I would like to thank those who have bought my stuff and genuinely appreciate my creations. THANK YOU VERY MUCH from the bottom of me heart...

More dangly earrings...

These 2 pairs of dangly earrings were made for my fiance's cousins. One was a farewell gift and the other a birthday gift.

Observing people is very important when it comes to making accessories. The things that I normally look out for are:

1. Do they like accessories?
2. Do they wear accessories?
3. If they do wear accessories, do they like chunky, loud, funky, simple & plain, &/or elegant accessories?
4. Age?
5. Clothes they wear?
6. Colours they like?

After I've collected about 90% of the above details, I will then be able to design something that will match their dressing and personality. It may look very easy, but sometimes, it can be very difficult. So far, I've only made some "boo boos".

So it's very important for me to ask customers what they like, colours they like, and size of the beads they want the accessories to be. This is because for people whom you do not know well, it's very difficult to create something for them.

Anyways, here's the latest earrings I've created (BTW they may look very simple, but trust me, it took me awhile to sort out what colours to match with which finding to suit those 2 girls):

1) Maroon Dangles
Materials:
- Silver metal finding for Chandelier earrings
- Maroon 8mm swarovski crystals (round)
- Maroon 4mm swarovski crystals (diamond shape)

2) Golden Drops
Materials:
- Copper metal finding for Chandelier earrings
- Light golden brown 6mm swarovski crystals (round)
- Light golden brown 4mm swarovski crystals (diamond shape)

I hope my fiance's cousins will like them...

Please look out for more creations soon :o)

Latest designs...

I'm finally back into making jewellery again after a long break! I thought I've lost the passion to make jewellery after this long break... BUT "NOOOOOOOO"! I realised I still enjoy making them and still wanting to come up with more funky designs.

I've been trying to get inspiration from beading magazines and Fashion magazines... And by doing that, I start thinking of designs in my head and then get started on it.

1) Green Forest

- 8mm green glass pearls (round)

- 8mm clear glass beads (round)

3) Black Elegance Chunky Bracelet
Materials:
- 10mm black glass beads (round)
- 5mm black glass beads (round)

Sorry no pictures of this cos' it was given to my fiance's friend before I could take any pics of it.

4) Brown Glitters Bracelet (Sold this for $10)
Materials:
- 8mm brown swarovski pearls (round)
- 8mm clear swarovski crystals (round)
- 4mm brown swarovski pearls (round)

5) Pearly Chandelier
Materials:
- 6mm brown glass pearls (round)
- Bronze chandelier finding

6) Green Glitters Necklace
Materials:
- 8mm green swarovski pearls (round)
- 8mm clear glass beads (round)
- 4mm green swarovski pearls (round)
- 4mm clear glass beads (oval)

The set of Black Elegance choker and bracelet was requested by a friend, that will be a gift to her and I really hope she'll like them.

Green Forest was made to match some of my green outfits because I do not have any green necklaces to match any of my green outfits...

Pearly Chandelier was made out of impulse as the idea just popped into my head out of nowhere (Ha Ha)... I love it, cos' it will match with many of my outfits :o)

Brown Glitters bracelet was sold to a friend at work as she wanted a bracelet to match the Brown Glitters necklace that I sold her.

Let me know what you guys think of my designs :o)
